STUDIO TAV is a fictional tattoo studio. This site is a work sample, not a working business.

Every image is licensed stock photography. The photographer, the licence and the original source of each one are listed on the credits page.

The address is not real and there is no phone number here. The WhatsApp button shows the link and the pre-filled text it would send — it does not open a conversation.

Blackwork — solid black

Of the common techniques this is the one that ages best — provided it was drawn to age in the first place.

Solid black holds a lot of pigment in an even layer. When the skin stretches and the pigment shifts, the result is still solid black: a single line that shifts looks smudged, a field that shifts looks like a field. That is the whole difference.

What does change is the edges — the border between black and skin softens a little over the years. So a shape resting on a very sharp corner will read slightly less sharp a decade on, and a good design assumes that from the start rather than discovering it later.
